What can you see in Cancun, Mexico and best plane tickets

Why visit Cancun, Mexico and best flight tickets? Another interesting Mayan site that is easily accessible from Cancún’s main resort area-this one located at the north end of the main beaches-is the El Meco Archaeological Site. Originally inhabited around AD 300, it rose to prominence as a Mayan trade center from the 1100s until its decline after the arrival of the Spanish in the 16th century. Of particular interest is the 12.5-meter-tall El Castillo, the only pyramid of its kind to have been built in the area. Perched atop the pyramid are the remains of an old temple from which you’ll be rewarded with stunning views over the coastline and Isla Mujeres. This easy one-hour or so visit is well worth adding to your Cancún itinerary.

Isla Mujeres has tons of little shops and stalls to explore, during your stay on the island. From local art to cold drinks, to traditional clothing, there is something for everyone. While you can definitely find something worthy of bringing back to your friends and family, beware of inflated prices, presented to foreigners. Pushy vendors can sometimes charge more than triple the price of souvenirs to tourists, however, you can usually bargain for a better deal. If you have never bargained before, give it a try! You never know what kind of treasures you might leave with. Garaffon Park is a great place to visit if you are traveling with children. This adventure park offers a variety of activities for you and your family to enjoy, all day long, such as zip lining, kayaking, swimming with dolphins, and bike riding. The cheapest packages start at 89 USD per person, which includes your ferry ticket, breakfast, lunch, and basic access to snorkeling and zip lining activities. If you’re feeling more adventurous, the most expensive package is 209 USD, including VIP access to breakfast and lunch, access to activities, and admission to Punta Sur, which you will read about later on.

Rent A Golf Cart (one of the best things to do in Isla Mujeres!): To be able to experience all the things to do in Isla Mujeres we recommend that you rent a golf cart for the day. This is completely normal and is a popular thing to do. There are many golf car rental agencies available around the ferry port and you can expect to pay $45 – 55USD per day for a 2 seater. If you wish to hire a golf buggy for a week you can expect to pay anywhere between $270 -375. The longer the rental, the cheaper the rate will be. You will need a valid driver’s licence in order to rent a golf cart. And, if you’re into golfing, and not just riding golf carts, make sure to head to the town of San Pancho on the west coast. Golfing is one of the top things to do in San Pancho, the course there is well kept and very nice!

Cancún flights and airport services are usually a very satisfactory experience – in 2011, the airport received an award for Best Airport in Latin America by Airports Council International. With 4 terminals and 2 parallel runaways used simultaneously, Cancún flights cater to more than 20 destinations within the country and fly to over 30 international destinations, primarily parts of America and Europe. Beaches near Cancun are some of the best places in the world to find sea turtles. Between May and October you can see the turtles lay their eggs on the beach. The little ones hatch and flop into the ocean from July – December. The best place to visit sea turtles is Tortugranja, the turtle farm and conservation center on Isla Mujeres. Green turtles, hawksbill and loggerhead turtles are the most common species you can see around Cancun and Isla Mujeres. At Tortugranja you can see turtles all year round, in every development stage, for a $3 fee. You can feed them and interact with them under the care of a guide as well as crabs, urchins, and conches.

Haha, if you read our previous Isla Mujeres post you don’t think I’d miss this one. There are now dozens of golf cart rental companies on Isla Mujeres, and though they do still occasionally run out during the holidays and busiest times of the year, most days you’re fine as long as you arrive before noon. You can pretty much drive to every place on the island, and if you’re there for multiple days, you can spend lazy afternoons on different beaches every day. You can walk or take a taxi most places on the island, but if you want true freedom, rent a golf cart and enjoy yourself.

A Tezmacal ritual is a traditional Mayan ceremony of purification which takes place in a tiny hut. You strip down to your underwear (or swimsuit), then enter the sweat lodge which is heated with hot rocks & water, turning it into a steamy sauna. The ceremony is led by a local shaman, who conducts the ritual and takes care of participants. The tezmacal ceremony takes place in complete darkness, as the shaman pours water over the hot rocks, chanting and using different herbs to summon spirits. Temazcal was performed since ancient times, is seen as a purification ceremony that cleans the body, mind, and soul. As your body is sweating in the tiny hut, you enter a deep state of meditation, enhanced by the shamanic chanting. Read additional details at https://vacayoffers.com/.
